ABOUT THE BUILD

Atwood Music Hall is a project that comes around once or twice a career. A century old building with ambitions to invite 700 people into the space and experience contemporary music and art. After we found a way to bring in a whole new electrical, HVAC and plumbing infrastructure along with doubling the structural capacity of all the floors, we wanted to be left with a soft, delicate space where you hardly knew any of that took place. With an incredible orange Lamella roof to inspire the space, we chose to only introduce forms that paid homage to the amazing barrel roof. With the task of improving the sound inside the space and limiting the sound that could get out, there are many priorities to a project like this and that is the puzzle we enjoy so much. A true feather in our cap we are proud to be a part of.
